Junior Sales Specialist zona Norte

Role Summary

The Junior Sales Representative is an entry-to-developing commercial role responsible for supporting the execution of the sales strategy within an assigned territory, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders, and contributing to the achievement of business objectives. Working under the guidance of the Sales Manager and in collaboration with the cross-functional team, this role develops product, disease-area, customer and market knowledge while applying approved promotional materials and compliant engagement practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed sales and activity objectives for the assigned territory, in alignment with brand strategy, business priorities and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong, ethical and value-based relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital stakeholders and relevant customer groups.
  • Demonstrate and continuously develop knowledge of assigned products, disease areas, clinical evidence, patient pathways, competitor landscape and customer needs.
  • Prepare and execute customer-specific pre-call and post-call plans, including clear objectives, insights, follow-up actions and use of approved promotional materials.
  • Identify territory opportunities, account priorities and customer needs using available data, market insights and field observations.
  • Contribute to the implementation of brand plans, launch activities, customer engagement initiatives, medical education events and other commercial activities, in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, medical affairs, market access, sales colleagues and other internal partners to support coordinated customer engagement and business execution.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, activity records, territory plans and follow-up actions in company systems.
  • Monitor performance indicators, customer feedback and market dynamics, escalating relevant insights and risks to the Sales Manager.
  • Operate at all times in full compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies, Our Credo, healthcare compliance requirements, pharmacovigilance obligations and applicable local regulations.

Qualifications

Academic Background

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, Business, Marketing, Management or a related field.
  • Additional training or postgraduate education in healthcare, commercial excellence, sales, marketing, data analytics or business management is considered an advantage.

Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, sales, customer-facing or commercial roles is preferred; candidates with strong potential and relevant academic background may also be considered.
  • Strong interest in healthcare, innovation, patient outcomes and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to understand and communicate scientific and clinical information in a clear, accurate and compliant way.
  • Customer orientation, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted professional relationships.
  • Good analytical capability, with the ability to use data, insights and territory information to plan activities and identify opportunities.
  • Strong planning, organization, follow-up and execution discipline.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a matrix and cross-functional environment.
  • High standards of ethics, compliance, integrity and professional conduct.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and good command of English, written and spoken.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays when required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is

€21,400.00 - €34,155.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
