About the Role

Personal Touch Food Service is seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Cook to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, has a passion for food service, and values serving nutritious meals to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in preparing and serving meals in accordance with established menus and nutritional guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and serving areas.
• Help with inventory, food storage, and restocking of supplies.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
• Support meal service in a busy, student-centered cafeteria environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cook or Food Service Manager.

Schedule

Follows the school calendar – no nights, weekends, or holidays!

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred, especially in a school or institutional setting.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a noisy, fast-paced school cafeteria environment.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team.
• A valid ServSafe certification is a plus or willingness to obtain.
