Required Degree

  • Doctorate in mathematics education or a closely related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience

Must demonstrate a well-defined research agenda, and a strong interest in both undergraduate and graduate teaching. Mathematical preparation equivalent to a Master’s degree and at least two years’ experience teaching at the K-12 level are desirable.

Duties/Expectations

Teaching a wide variety of mathematics content courses as well as methods courses for secondary teachers; supervising secondary mathematics student teachers; assisting with ongoing curriculum and program development; and participating in department governance and other committee activities. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a program of scholarly research, advising Masters students, and teaching graduate courses in mathematics education.
