What You Will Do

As an Electrical Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will learn to develop, modify, integrate, and test both flight and ground vehicle training simulators. Devices range in complexity from simple desktop trainers to high-fidelity, full-flight training systems. Work includes both clean-sheet and design reuse. From an electrical perspective, devices are a conglomerate of off-the-shelf computational elements and internally designed electro-mechanical hardware, knit together with custom arrays of cabling and interconnects. The functionality and fidelity of the finished simulated vehicle provide customer trainees with all the experience necessary to be able to operate or service their real-world counterparts safely, efficiently, and with confidence.

Work with technical leadership to analyze, design, and document electro-mechanical hardware and interconnects of limited to medium complexity
Learn and utilize applicable internal processes and tools for the development of training simulator hardware
Engage with engineering team to understand design requirements
Learn to use independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities
Support remote teams collaborating on common projects
May provide support for customer or internal reviews and meetings
Some travel may be required; up to ~15%

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with AutoCAD 2D software Design tool
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint)
Technical Co-op/Intern or Military experience working on electrical equipment
Strong written and verbal communication
Possession of an active U.S. Government issued Secret or Top Secret clearance

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
