Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY

• Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in fabrication, repair, maintenance and
• installation of machines, tools and equipment. Maintenance of buildings, grounds and utility systems
• of plant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and schedule the work of maintenance department.
• Plan individual jobs and assign proper manpower and expertise to accomplish the job.
• Analyze the skill levels of subordinates and assist in the acquisition of any training needs

identified.

• Reward and discipline subordinates as appropriate.
• Establish priorities for the department in line with priorities as established by the engineering

manager.

• Determine capital needs of the department and facilities and assist the engineering manager in

capital budget formulation and implementation, including writing CAR’s.
