About The Role
Portfolio Management & Governance
- Manage the overall health and performance of the professional services project portfolio.
- Review project status, risks, resource constraints, financial performance, and delivery metrics.
- Ensure project management standards, methodologies, and governance practices are consistently followed.
- Establish portfolio reporting and executive dashboards.
- Lead project reviews, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
- Standardize project lifecycle processes across all service lines.
Resource Planning & Capacity Management
- Partner closely with Resource Management and Delivery Leadership to optimize resource utilization.
- Drive proactive scheduling of technical resources across all active engagements.
- Balance project demand against available capacity.
- Participate in weekly resource planning meetings.
- Identify staffing constraints and escalate hiring or contractor needs.
- Improve forecasting accuracy for upcoming project demand.
Project Financial Oversight
- Monitor project profitability, margin attainment, burn rates, revenue recognition, and forecasting.
- Review projects against gross margin targets and recommend corrective actions where needed.

- Change orders

Escalation
- Executive intervention
- Work closely with Finance to improve forecasting and revenue visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- PMP certification preferred
- 10+ years of project and program management experience.
- 5+ years managing project portfolios or PMO functions.
- Experience leading Professional Services, Consulting, MSP, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, or Technology projects.
- Strong financial management and forecasting experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing resource planning and utilization.
- Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
Preferred
- PMO leadership experience.
- Experience with Autotask, PSA platforms, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or similar systems.
- PgMP, PMI-ACP, or additional portfolio management certifications.
- Experience in managed services or cybersecurity organizations.
- Highly adaptable within a fast-growing technology services company.
