About The Role

  • Independently prepare, execute, and evaluate all tenders whilst ensure all procurement procedures and policies are adhered to.
  • Receive and review purchase requisitions from all divisions and action the request subject to availability of necessary approvals
  • Undertake supplier negotiations, create award recommendation reports, and implement effective contracts.
  • Acquire quotations from various suppliers and place orders with the best supplier after having thoroughly researched and investigated all factors in terms of quality, quantity, price, time.
  • Visit suppliers to evaluate them on product offerings, quality, and operating standards; based on the findings make recommendations for current /future requirements.
  • Negotiate purchase order prices, terms, and conditions to ensure value for money for the products
  • Review and resolve all daily general correspondences and conflicts with suppliers in terms of delivery & product quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure EKFC is a client of choice that receives continuous business improvement opportunities.
  • Liaise and support procurement specialist & procurement managers on various sourcing projects, when required
  • Keep updated on current market prices of all items required by the various divisions and assist in maintaining up-to-date records of all suppliers and their products along with the price lists.
  • Constantly do market research on the working commodity and ensure right potential suppliers are introduced to EKFC

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement/Supply, Business or other related field (must have)
  • Diploma or Certification in Procurement & Supply or Contracts (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Years of Experience: 5 years’ experience in relevant sector
  • Area of Experience: Previous experience working in a Procurement / category management position.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of procurement e-sourcing tools
  • Prior Procurement experience in a food or catering industry
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
