PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Dishwasher shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This position’s primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff, wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and all other cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dishwasher – 95%

  • Assume responsibility for the cleanliness of all dishware.
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to their 1st level supervisor.
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
  • Keep dish room clean and organized, maintaining adequate levels of clean tableware, dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Bag and haul kitchen trash to dumpster.
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

Additional Responsibilities – 5%

  • Participate in daily devotions, department meetings, Glen Eyrie-wide gatherings, and training seminars.
  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required.
  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
  • Must adhere to the handbooks from both the Navigators and Glen Eyrie at all times
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.

Technical Knowledge & Skills: Basic computer skills.

Compensation: $16.00/ hourly
