About The Role

Job Title: Technician Production - Systems Electrical Tester (Union) Job Code: 31741 Job Location: Bristol, PA Job Description: This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting of high reliability electro-mechanical, and electronic avionics instruments using available documentation; manuals, schematic diagrams, work instructions, and engineering drawings. In this role individuals may be responsible for conducting tests on a variety of digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies or end products. Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment, logging information in technical databases and have a basic understanding of schematics. Basic troubleshooting skills are required. This should include troubleshooting products, subassemblies and circuit board failures to component level. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team. Essential Functions: Perform diversified testing operations; Perform Acceptance Testing on flight hardware by following a specified test procedure. Work from schematic drawings, performance specifications and instructions to perform test, adjustment, and calibration of new units. Test and troubleshoot digital and/or analog top assemblies with little or minimal supervision. Use various electronic test equipment to perform tests and to interpret results to assure product performance integrity: Signal generators, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, spectrum and network analyzers, BER testers, Follow established procedures or special instructions to set up and operate special test sets and standard instruments such as time base oscilloscopes, bridges, frequency counters, environmental equipment, and signal generators. Record test data as required. Qualifications: Requires Associate’s degree or technical trade School diploma/certification in relevant field of study and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience. Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance Preferred Additional Skills: Strong working knowledge of basic electronic theory and electronic test equipment (i.e., spectrum analyzer, oscilloscopes, power supply, etc.). 3 years of technical experience. Understanding of digital and analog circuitry, and RF theory Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
