Registered Nurse (RN) - Administrative Supervisor

Expectations We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited or approved School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the teammate practices.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within one year of hire or transfer and complete the program within three years of enrollment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required in accordance with policy guidelines.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Appropriate professional certification in a clinical or nursing leadership specialty is required within one year of eligibility for the certification exam.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or management experience preferred.

What You’ll Do

As an Administrative Supervisor, you will provide hospital-wide operational and clinical leadership during your assigned shift, serving as the administrative designee to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. You will collaborate with nursing leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support daily operations while promoting quality, safety, and an exceptional patient experience.

• Coordinate hospital operations with a focus on patient throughput, staffing, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as the administrative designee, responding to operational concerns, emergency situations, and patient, family, and teammate needs.
• Lead patient flow activities by coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assess staffing needs based on patient volume and acuity while optimizing available resources, including the Float Pool, PRN personnel, and other staffing resources as appropriate.
• Round throughout the hospital to evaluate patient care, teammate engagement, physician satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
• Provide clinical guidance and operational support while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, the Nursing Practice Act, and organizational policies.
• Facilitate communication through leadership huddles, rounds, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote shared situational awareness.
• Support performance improvement initiatives, service recovery, complaint resolution, and emergency response efforts.
• Maintain clinical expertise while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
