Senior Planning Engineer Rail / Civil Infrastructure

About The Role
- Job security with a Malaysian main contractor boasting a 30-year history of delivering construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong pipeline of property, rail, and energy projects (PETRONAS SWEC Licence) and a good reputation with PMCs and government agencies.
- Well-planned projects utilizing new BIM and Primavera P6 technology to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Primavera P6 to manage programme development, updates, and progress tracking.
- Identify project delays and support Extension of Time (EOT) assessments through detailed programme analysis.
- Proactively flag risks and support the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning for rail, infrastructure, or large-scale civil works.
- Recent experience must be with a main contractor.
- Be able to fast-track into a planning manager job in 6 months
- Experience working with government bodies, rail operators, or large infrastructure contractors.
About the Company & Project
- Major Malaysian main contractor (non-GLC).
- Currently hiring for a rail project involving track works, civil structures, signaling, electrification, and depots.
- The role reports to the Head of Planning, who has experience on MRT 1 & 2 projects.
