Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant II to join our ever-evolving Cash Reconciliations team and help shape the future of global commerce.

What you’ll own

You will be responsible for completing daily reconciliations, investigations and completion of journal postings. You will support team supervisors and team manager with timely completion of cash reconciliations and driving the reconciliations strategy forward. You will also from time-to-time support with projects, process improvements, testing new work streams and be involved with month-end tasks.

  • Reconciliation/ Verify Global Payments accounts/ statements in accordance with Reconciliation policy.
  • Accurate completion of account reconciliations and journal postings.
  • Investigation and reporting of erroneous entries and rejected payments/ transactions.
  • Acquire specialist knowledge to provide accurate advice and information to both internal and external sources in a timely and professional manner, taking full ownership through to resolution of any queries.
  • Prioritise workload effectively throughout the day to ensure all SLAs are adhered to.
  • Work as part of the team to ensure daily objectives are met.
  • Continually look for ways of improving processes, providing potential solutions and following through to implementation to deliver efficiencies.

What you’ll bring

  • AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or actively working towards qualification.
  • Strong experience in large-scale reconciliations and finance systems, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, auditing processes, and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage, analyse, and report on large volumes of data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis.
  • Internal and/or external audit experience.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple queries, and deliver to tight deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Highly motivated and resilient, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Experience in training others
  • Payments, acquiring or finance industry experience
