About The Role

Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Cardiologist to join its multidisciplinary cardiac team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, manage complex cardiac conditions, perform and interpret appropriate cardiac investigations, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care. Current UAE consultant cardiology roles commonly include management of coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias and valvular disease, along with cardiac diagnostics and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiology consultations, clinical assessments, and follow-up evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, valvular heart disease, and cardiomyopathies .
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and management plans.
  • Perform and interpret relevant cardiac investigations, including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and other cardiac diagnostic studies .
  • Manage acute and complex cardiac presentations and provide appropriate emergency care.
  • Perform cardiac procedures within the physician's training, experience, and approved clinical privileges.
  • Identify patients requiring interventional or surgical management and coordinate appropriate referrals.
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology care.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, cardiovascular risk factors, lifestyle modification, and preventive care.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, intensivists, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff where required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in cardiology and evidence-based treatment approaches.

Requirements

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiology .
  • Relevant post-specialization experience in Cardiology.
  • Strong clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular conditions.
  • Proficiency in interpreting ECGs, echocardiography, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and other cardiac investigations.
  • Experience in interventional cardiology is an advantage where applicable.
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary cardiac care team.
