Job Description
As part of the CapitaLand Investment SEA business, you will be part of the SEA Investment team, reporting to the Head of Investment. You will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading investment, M&A, and related activities within the Southeast Asia (SEA) Investment landscape. Your key responsibilities will encompass the following areas:
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies to support existing funds and facilitate the creation of new funds, with the objective of growing Funds Under Management (FUM).
- Identify and secure pipeline assets for the fund through proactive deal sourcing and origination efforts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop optimal investment structures and capital strategies to enhance investment returns.
- Perform comprehensive market studies, develop operating assumptions, and conduct financial analyses with investment team to evaluate the feasibility of potential investments.
- Conduct thorough due diligence and negotiations on potential pipeline assets and fund-related investments, ensuring compliance with investment criteria and risk management standards.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of investment-related documentation required for internal and fund investment committee approvals.
- Ensure successful execution of divestment transactions to optimize portfolio performance.
- Lead and mentor junior investment team members fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Good understanding in a wide variety of asset classes.
- The Company may assign additional duties and/or vary the scope of work according to business requirements. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving business needs are essential.
- Experience in fund management is preferred, but open to exploring candidates with fund management perspective, with a solid track record of deal experience in Southeast Asia.
- Open to candidates from banking sector but possess good knowledge of Real Estate.
- Proficient in stakeholder management.
- Resourceful, solution-oriented with the ability to connect the dots to drive successful investment outcomes in a dynamic and competitive environment.
