Maintenance Technician (Red Seal Welder)
Location: Sturgeon Falls, Ontario

What you will be doing
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance operations on production equipment and machinery.
- Analyze, plan, prepare, and carry out small to medium-sized equipment improvements and modifications, with support on larger projects as required.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor activities when external support is required.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs and perform corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Support maintenance planning and preparation activities while monitoring outcomes and documenting repairs, root causes, improvement opportunities, and labor hours.
- Work in accordance with established standard operating procedures and maintenance standards.
- Contribute to achieving maintenance performance targets and operational objectives.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure equipment and work areas meet cleanliness requirements.
- Communicate equipment status, operational concerns, and deviations to appropriate team members.
- Follow all safety regulations, procedures, and 5S housekeeping requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ongoing personal development activities.
- Apply specialized expertise within welding and maintenance-related disciplines.
- Support plant operations in a hands-on, on-site maintenance role.
- Work a rotating shift schedule including days, afternoons, and nights.

What you will bring along
- Red Seal Welding Certification is required.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of Red Seal welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment.
- Electrical maintenance experience would be considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and work instructions.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, and nights.
