About The Role

Join our Transformer Bushings R&D team in Ludvika and contribute to the development of world-leading high-voltage bushing technology.

We are looking for a Senior Simulation Engineer who is passionate about engineering, eager to learn, and motivated to solve complex technical challenges through modeling and simulation.

You will work closely with experienced technical experts and play an important role in developing simulation capabilities within thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics domains. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build deep technical expertise and grow into a future specialist or technical leader.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Perform simulation and analysis of high-voltage bushings and related components.
  • Develop and validate electrical, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics models.
  • Support product development activities by providing simulation-driven design recommendations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, testing, manufacturing, and technical experts.
  • Lead and support technical projects.
  • Drive continuous improvements in simulation methodologies and engineering processes.
  • Learn from senior experts and contribute to the long-term development of our technical knowledge base.

Your background

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with simulation software such as COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys, Abaqus, Similar FEM tools.
  • Knowledge in Heat transfer, Structural mechanics, Electromagnetics, and Multiphysics simulations.
  • Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools are considered an advantage.
  • Experience in high-voltage technology, insulation systems, or transformer components is a plus.
