As an Operations Transformation Director at PwC, you’ll bring your expertise in leading large-scale transformation and process improvement programs to uncover inefficiencies and design impactful roadmaps. You’ll be supporting organisations across the Energy, Utilities, and Mining sectors as they navigate complex operational challenges.

What you’ll do

Program & Engagement Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale operations transformation programs, coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders on scope, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations across multiple workstreams, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and roadblocks that could impact delivery.

Diagnostics & Insights

  • Conduct diagnostics through structured process analysis, data gathering, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Formulate actionable insights and translate findings into high-quality, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Deliver outcomes that are client-ready, defensible, and grounded in rigorous analysis.

Operating Model & Strategy

  • Lead the design and implementation of target operating models, including organization design, process redesign, governance, and technology enablement.
  • Define client strategies and process improvement initiatives that align with broader business objectives .
  • Translate strategic recommendations into practical, executable roadmaps.

Client Deliverables & Communication

  • Craft client-ready deliverables, reports, and executive presentations that clearly communicate complex findings and recommendations.
  • Present confidently to senior client stakeholders, adapting messaging to the audience.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members — assigning work aligned to individual skill levels and development goals.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback and create a respectful, inclusive team environment.
  • Champion team member growth, career development, and wellbeing, consistent with PwC's "Grow Here, Go Further" philosophy.

Stakeholder Management & Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Partner with client and internal stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels of seniority.

Business Development

  • Support business development activities by contributing to proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and pitch materials.
  • Identify opportunities to extend or expand client engagements.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Drive change management and adoption planning, including stakeholder engagement strategies, tailored communications, and training.
  • Provide post-implementation support to ensure sustained adoption and realization of transformation benefits.

What we’re looking for

  • Practical experience in the Energy , Utilities and Mining sector .
  • Proven experience leading large-scale operations transformation, process improvement, or operating model redesign programs.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic capability, with the ability to translate data into strategic insight.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience — coaching, developing, and managing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior executive presentation experience.
  • Experience contributing to business development, proposals, or client pitches
  • Highly developed executive-level slide design and storytelling skills (PowerPoint)
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement capability.
  • Proficiency with relevant AI and productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude , Copilot) to enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Workshop facilitation experience across operational and executive audiences
  • Ability to maintain 100% compliance with firm policies, ethics, and risk protocols
