If you are passionate about strengthening the quality, stability and governance of automation and AI solutions within Shell’s Digital ecosystem, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale automation using Power Automate Desktop and Copilot Studio while working with global stakeholders.

This role sits within the Digital Operations / Automation landscape, supporting quality engineering across automation solutions built using Power Automate Desktop (attended and unattended) and Copilot Studio.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, DigiOps teams, Process Owners, Control teams (FCDD/GRA), and developers across locations. The role requires strong alignment with Team’s Solution standard/ framework and automation governance practices.

What you will be doing

  • Ensuring stability and reliability of automations in BAU environments
  • Validating attended vs unattended automation design and orchestration
  • Incorporating control and audit requirements into quality engineering practices
  • Supporting fast-paced delivery cycles while maintaining compliance
  • Driving standardization and reuse across automation solutions
  • Keeping up with evolving Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot capabilities
  • Take ownership of the technical feasibility study and support the Access Management focal point and application BAO throughout the assessment.
  • Validate Power Automate Desktop flows (attended and unattended), including scheduling, triggers, and exception handling
  • Ensure quality of Copilot Studio solutions, including conversation flow, intent mapping, and fallback handling
  • Support release management, defect triage, and RCA in collaboration with developer or DigiOps teams ( if required).
  • Ensure compliance with controls (e.g., compliance document, audit) and documentation standards
  • Establish reusable testing frameworks, assets, and best practices
  • Partner with developers and architects to improve solution design and resilience
  • Support automation monitoring, performance validation, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to strengthening governance and standardization across automation solutions

What you bring

  • 8–12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Automation Testing / RPA validation
  • Proven experience with Power Automate Desktop (attended) and Blueprism.
  • Strong understanding of RPA orchestration, bot scheduling, exception handling, and logging
  • Working knowledge of Copilot Studio / conversational AI validation
  • Experience working within Shell environments (or similar enterprise frameworks)
  • Exposure to Power Platform (Power Automate Cloud, Power Apps)
  • Experience in integration testing, API validation and data reconciliation
  • Familiarity with SQL, SharePoint or enterprise data sources
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting automation in production environments
  • Experience in Finance Operations / shared services environment
  • Knowledge of audit and compliance frameworks
  • Prior experience working on global DigiOps / automation teams within Shell
  • Demonstrates strong awareness of risk, audit and compliance requirements
  • Ensures controls are embedded early while balancing delivery timelines
  • Takes end-to-end ownership of quality and governance outcomes
  • Drives issues to closure with accountability and follow-through
  • Collaborates effectively with business, IT and control stakeholders
  • Communicates clearly and influences decisions where needed
  • Drives continuous improvement through RCA and standardization
  • Applies analytical thinking to solve complex problems and identify risks
  • Works effectively in global, cross-functional teams and shares knowledge
  • Adapts quickly and continuously learns new technologies and tools.
