Our Placement Opportunities
We have a range of placement opportunities within our highly talented Global Distribution department
Distribution Strategy Placement
In this role, you will support the Strategy & Planning team managing relationships with our connected third-party channels. This is a unique opportunity for an intern to gain valuable experience in a global environment and gain a depth of knowledge of the complex distribution landscape in hospitality. You will be involved in the execution of marketing activities, development of internal training material, hosting workshops, account managing channels, the development of new channels and a variety of related projects to optimise distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing business cases for newly identified channels for connectivity and identifying demand opportunities.
- Collaborate with other internal Global Distribution functions as well as other departments within Hilton, including; Revenue Management, Pricing, Sales, Rate Loading, Marketing & eCommerce and IT.
- Work alongside the Global Distribution Implementation Team on new channel activations to meet the demand identified from the original business case.
- Conduct business reviews with channels and identify areas of opportunity to optimise performance and support commercial teams in driving demand for any need markets.
- Lead projects on a regional or global level to optimise and enhance property performance on connected channels.
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement marketing plans to support any promotional activity.
- Supporting the development of presentations, messaging documents, and other communication materials for internal and external audiences.
Distribution Services International Placement
Distribution Services centrally manages the automated process that calculates and disburses travel agent, meeting planner, and third-party online compensation globally. Our team is committed to supporting Hilton’s Global Sales Organization in maintaining relationships and agreements with travel planners across the globe and reducing the administrative burden on hotel teams, speed payment and grow preference with third party intermediaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct reconciliation reviews, data analysis, reporting, and inquiry resolution activities, communicating findings with stakeholders to ensure accurate results and timely completion of key deliverables.
- Identify data discrepancies and operational issues, partnering with internal teams, hotels, and travel agencies to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support new business partner onboarding through historical analysis, trend identification, and data validation to provide insights and establish operational benchmarks.
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports, presentations, and business reviews to support operational decision-making and stakeholder communications.
- Support departmental objectives by managing inquiries and TopDesk tickets, conducting research and analysis to resolve complex cases and improve operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain process documentation, quality control procedures, and other resources that support knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
- Participate in team meetings, cross-functional initiatives, and special projects to support business objectives and professional development.
Global Distribution Implementation & Operations Placement
In this role, you will support the Director of Channel & Product Activations, as well as the Global Distribution Implementations and Operations teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the management and optimisation of over 300 online third-party distribution channels, alongside Hilton’s 9,000+ properties, ensuring seamless distribution of real-time rates and inventory to end consumers.
This is a unique opportunity for an intern to gain valuable hands-on experience within a global, cross-functional environment, develop an understanding of the complex hospitality distribution landscape, and contribute to initiatives that generate significant annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of new third-party channel connections, as well as the launch of new distribution products and promotional initiatives across connected third party channels.
- Monitor, review and respond to support tickets from properties and distribution partners, escalating issues where necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Hilton IT, Revenue Management, and Sales to support project delivery and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
- Proactively audit and analyse Special Rate Plans (SRPs) and channel accounts to identify and address potential discrepancies or risks.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly review operational guides, training materials, and internal documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Support the creation of presentations, communication materials, and stakeholder messaging for both internal and external audiences.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects aimed at improving processes, driving efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement across Implementations and Operations, including documenting and rolling out new workflows and training.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who embody the Hilton Values in addition to the following criteria
- A current bachelor’s or master’s student completing a degree that includes a required 12-month year in industry placement.
- Preferably studying towards a degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or similar.
- Availability to begin full-time employment on 5 th July 2027, for a full-time 12-month placement.
- You must have the independent right to work in the UK for the full duration of the 12-month placement. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, so we are unable to consider applications from candidates who would require sponsorship. If you hold a visa or status that allows you to work in the UK full-time without sponsorship (e.g. Settled Status, Pre-Settled Status, where a 12-month work placement is a permitted, required & assessed part of your UK University degree, or other independent work permissions), you are welcome to apply.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - particularly, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
