About The Role
The Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) Specialist is responsible for performing RAM analyses to ensure that systems, equipment, and assets meet required performance, safety, and lifecycle targets. The role supports design optimization, operational efficiency, and asset integrity by applying reliability engineering principles and quantitative analysis.
The Experienced Professional shall have a university degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in the relevant field, with not less than five (5) years of proven experience in reliability engineering, RAM analysis, or related expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) studies for systems and assets.
- Perform reliability modeling, simulation, and statistical analysis.
- Develop and maintain reliability block diagrams (RBDs) and fault tree analyses (FTA).
- Support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA) activities.
- Analyze equipment failure data and identify trends to improve system performance.
- Provide input to maintenance strategies and spare parts optimization.
- Support lifecycle cost analysis and asset performance forecasting.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve asset reliability.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience in RAM analysis, reliability engineering, or asset performance management.
- Experience in infrastructure, oil & gas, power generation, transportation, or similar asset-intensive industries is preferred.
- Professional certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CMRP, CRE) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative reliability modeling and statistical tools.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in RAM modeling software (e.g., Isograph, ReliaSoft, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of FMEA, FTA, RBD, Weibull analysis, and reliability statistics.
- Experience in maintenance strategy development (RCM, preventive/predictive maintenance).
- Understanding of lifecycle cost analysis and asset management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
