About The Role
We are seeking an Electrical Consultant to join our Building Consultant team.  This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Building Consultant team in Mexico, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of Electric analysis. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of cost analysis but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect and evaluate damages to different types of mechanical and electronic systems, such as cold storage refrigeration systems, boilers, steam and gas turbines, textile processing, petroleum refineries, medical and lab equipment, conveyor mechanisms, offset printing presses, computer systems, data recovery, high-temperature furnaces, pollution control equipment, and injection molding machinery.
- Conduct configuration audits.
- Analyze requirements and specifications to determine comparable equipment replacements.
- Provide research for determining costs associated with equipment replacement (i.e., new and used).
- Determine fair market equipment appraisals. Expected to produce 3+ page written reports regularly.
Required Qualifications
- A C1+ English level is required for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering is required with 5+ years of experience inspecting and evaluating damages to different types of mechanical and electronic systems.
- Field experience is required for this position.
- Experience working with industrial components in the field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work site.
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Able to climb ladders to reach high areas or roofs.
- Must be able to write reports of findings after inspections 50% of day-to-day duties.
- May be exposed to UV radiation from the sun, radon, or other forms of air pollution.
- Must be able to be on call or work weekends or nights.
- Willingness to travel – locally, regionally, and for CAT response when needed.
