About The Role

Chrysalis Psychiatry is a growing outpatient mental health practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a variety of mental health services including medication management and interventional treatments for PTSD, depression, and other mental illnesses. We are looking a for hard working and empathetic individual to join our team as a TMS Technician. In this vital role, you will help ensure smooth clinic operations and deliver supportive, high-quality care experiences for our patients. We will provide training.

TMS Technician Job Responsibilities

  • Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
  • Provide good communication with the physician and other members of the team
  • Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
  • Administer psychiatric rating scales and counsel patients on completion of scales.
  • Record session notes, track insurance authorizations, and schedule patient visits using medical scheduling software.
  • Front desk receptionist duties, including answering phones, customer service, and scheduling.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in mental healthcare, 2 years experience in TMS therapy, or 1 year of work toward a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work required to start at mid-range in the pay scale.
  • Ability to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointments.
  • Expert attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all documentation and records.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $23-$27 per hour based on education and experience.

Clinic hours are 7 AM - 6 PM, Monday - Friday. Technician shifts vary.
