Business Continuity Analyst III

About The Role

The Business Continuity Analyst III works autonomously within established procedures to lead execution of the most complex BC/DR, emergency preparedness, and incident exercise activities. Drives innovative improvements to resiliency practices, coordinates major initiatives, and serves as the go-to support lead for business continuity and recovery readiness.

Accontabilities

BC Governance

  • Maintains BCM documentation in alignment with ISO 22301 standards and internal compliance requirements
  • Acts as primary point of contact for BCM key groups (e.g., Division BC Leads), coordinating remediation tracking and supporting timely closure of action items
  • Supports consistency and adoption of BCM tools, templates, and reporting practices across business units

Employee Safety

  • Supports Incident Management and Assessment processes to ensure structured response and recovery coordination across functions
  • Coordinates BCM communications during incidents and recovery activities to ensure timely and accurate stakeholder updates
  • Assists in employee safety readiness activities, including drills and communication validations

Site Resiliency

  • Coordinates with Emergency Response Team (ERT) POCs (e.g., Facilities, Security) to support alignment with safety and security protocols
  • Designs and facilitates BCM exercises (e.g., tabletop), enabling cross-functional participation and validating response readiness
  • Tracks exercise outcomes and supports follow-up actions to improve site preparedness

Workload Shifting

  • Supports development and enhancement of BCM tools to improve risk tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency
  • Coordinates the BCP lifecycle (planning, data collection, validation, and reporting) across assigned business units
  • Identifies gaps in recovery capabilities, tracks dependencies, and supports readiness improvements for multi-site operations
  • Assists business units in validating workload shifting strategies and recovery requirements

Risk, Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Supports risk assessments, BIAs, and plan reviews by gathering and analyzing data
  • Identifies gaps and supports development of actionable recommendations to improve BCM program effectiveness
  • Tracks remediation actions and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across BC/DR programs

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships with business units, IT, Information Security, Facilities, Human Resources, and Operations
  • Deliver awareness sessions and training programs to increase organizational preparedness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree holder
  • Typically 3-5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk Management, Operational Resilience, or a related discipline.
  • Experience facilitating Business Impact Analyses and continuity planning workshops.
  • Experience developing and maintaining enterprise Business Continuity Plans.
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity frameworks and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Business Continuity Management software platforms.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications (any one of the following)

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
  • Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP)
  • ISO 22301 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management experience
