SUMMARY: Implement, configure, and maintain the pricing tools and automated systems used in the management and delivery of Commercial Solutions initiatives, meeting business and technical specifications by contributing at all stages of the software development life cycle. This role delivers specialized development and integration expertise including VBA, SQL, Power Query, API, and Microsoft Power Platform to advance the REBOOT Pricing Strategy, drive pricing tool modernization, and lead process automation efforts. The position is focused on strategic delivery and future-state modernization rather than legacy operational ticket support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks may include but are not limited to

  • Ensure pricing tools and production systems function to meet service level agreements by analyzing and resolving issues, including implementing bug fixes in alignment with SOPs and established governance processes.
  • Design and implement software solutions to meet business requirements, including data integration, automation, monitoring, and reporting across a variety of platforms, tools, and languages (VBA, SQL, Power Query, API, Power Platform).
  • Lead the technical execution of pricing tool modernization and consolidation efforts in support of the REBOOT Pricing Strategy initiative.
  • Support the Project Manager and other functions with the production and review of specifications, plans, reports, and technical documentation throughout system development and support.
  • Review and translate User Requirements Specifications into technical designs appropriate for pricing tool and automation solutions.
  • Prepare, review, and approve design and integration documentation for pricing systems and cross-functional data flows.
  • Perform coding and configuration to meet delivery timelines, fulfill business and technical requirements, and align with SOPs.
  • Perform formal code reviews and informal unit testing to meet delivery timelines and maintain solution quality.
  • Complete Traceability Matrices and maintain audit-ready documentation as required.
  • Work closely with Strategic Finance, Proposal Management, Contracts, and Commercial Operations to define and coordinate integration processes between systems and vendors (e.g., Salesforce, Certinia).
  • Interact and communicate effectively with project teams in both technical and non-technical terms to determine requirements, configuration needs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Write and execute scripts as required to meet delivery timelines.
  • Support Test Analysts and business users during formal testing and quality review.
  • Perform QC checks of manual data edits and other tasks where required to protect data integrity.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of issues and/or incidents affecting pricing tools and automated workflows.
  • Ensure all activities are appropriately documented and stored in accordance with relevant SOPs and client requirements.
  • Provide support and training to users of in-house pricing tool.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that reduce manual effort, increase scalability, and strengthen governance and auditability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in the use of common office software, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Able to work independently or within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Able to be creative, adapt to new technologies, concepts, and processes, make improvements, and solve problems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics) or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Sound working knowledge of one or more of the following: the Microsoft toolset including .NET Framework, C#, Visual Studio, and advanced VBA; relational databases and SQL; Power Query and the Microsoft Power Platform; API/bus integration technologies; Java and Java Server technologies; or UNIX including C, C++.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and automating pricing, financial, or business process tools using advanced Excel, VBA, SQL, and data transformation techniques.
  • 2+ years' experience in a combination of Contract Research Organization (CRO) experience, IRT study delivery, clinical systems development, or comparable business systems / pricing technology development desired.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials, patient safety, data integrity, and associated regulations.

Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.

The salary range for this position is annually (For hourly paid positions, the stated salary range reflects hourly rates):

United States of America - $70,500.00 - $139,500.00

The salary range provided is intended to give candidates an understanding of potential earnings. Compensation will fall within the provided range, and it not a guarantee of exact salary. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive benefits package depending on location. We ensure pay equity and transparency and comply with all applicable labor laws. Salary information will be discussed during the interview process, and we encourage candidates to inquire about compensation at any stage.
