Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift- Frank Pack

About The Role
- Supervise and provide direction & guidance to production employees. Monitors performance of production equipment and
- performs maintenance at assigned plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise production activities including but not limited to coordinating activities of workers engaged in
- processing and/or the development of a product or a service; provides production reports to assist process
- improvement.
- Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity; may
- recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and
- disciplinary action.
- Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules;
- evaluates materials and products to maintain organization standards.
- Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment and material issues in conjunction with machine operators and
- support personnel.
- Double-checks, ensures accuracy, and finalizes production paperwork including but not limited to production
- reports, work order documentation, safety and sanitation documents, and quality records
- Coach and counsel associates while coordinating and enforcing process controls, policies and procedures; trains
- new workers in operation of equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
- One (1) year production experience or a combination of leadership and production experience
- One (1) year leadership experience, or relevant Sigma experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years production experience
- Two (2) years leadership experience
- Knowledge of Food Safety practices (HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and SQF)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to become forklift/pallet jack certified
- Ability to understand Quality Standards, SSOP’s, applicable Pre-requisite programs, and HACCP
- Proficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work
- well independently and within a team environment
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above
- the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is
- required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth
- perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts,
- toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office
- levels to loud factory / warehouse levels
