About The Role

  • Supervise and provide direction & guidance to production employees. Monitors performance of production equipment and
  • performs maintenance at assigned plant.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise production activities including but not limited to coordinating activities of workers engaged in
  • processing and/or the development of a product or a service; provides production reports to assist process
  • improvement.
  • Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity; may
  • recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and
  • disciplinary action.
  • Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules;
  • evaluates materials and products to maintain organization standards.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment and material issues in conjunction with machine operators and
  • support personnel.
  • Double-checks, ensures accuracy, and finalizes production paperwork including but not limited to production
  • reports, work order documentation, safety and sanitation documents, and quality records
  • Coach and counsel associates while coordinating and enforcing process controls, policies and procedures; trains
  • new workers in operation of equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • One (1) year production experience or a combination of leadership and production experience
  • One (1) year leadership experience, or relevant Sigma experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years production experience
  • Two (2) years leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Food Safety practices (HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and SQF)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to become forklift/pallet jack certified
  • Ability to understand Quality Standards, SSOP’s, applicable Pre-requisite programs, and HACCP
  • Proficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work
  • well independently and within a team environment

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above
  • the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is
  • required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth
  • perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts,
  • toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office
  • levels to loud factory / warehouse levels
