About The Role
Join Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, as an Engineer, R&D Software Engineering (f/m/d) in Estenfeld and help develop innovative software solutions that support clinical research and accelerate the delivery of life-changing therapies to patients worldwide. In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of software products while working closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment. What you'll be doing
- Design, develop, test, debug, and support software applications across multiple platforms using established development standards and best practices
- Work within an agile development environment to deliver high-quality software features and enhancements
- Contribute to software architecture discussions and support the evolution of products and development processes
- Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical challenges and deliver project milestones
- Participate in planning and execution of software development activities in partnership with technical leaders and managers
- Conduct code reviews to promote knowledge sharing, maintain code quality, and support continuous improvement
- Partner with Software Quality Engineering to build solutions that support automated testing and seamless integration throughout the development lifecycle
- Utilize source code management and work item tracking tools to support efficient software delivery
- Provide technical support and collaborate with other business functions as needed
What we look for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Understanding of software engineering principles, methodologies, and development frameworks
- Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications
- Knowledge of source code management tools and work item tracking systems
- Understanding of common software design patterns and best practices
- Experience with unit testing and testable software design approaches
- Problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to complex technical projects
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic understanding of risk management concepts
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies is an advantage
- Exposure to DevOps practices and cloud-based software solutions is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Low to no travel required
