About The Role
- IMO is looking for a project focussed Metallurgist.
- Key Responsibilities -
- Manage metallurgical projects, ranging from testwork programs, due diligences or involvement with study management.
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients, both internally and externally.
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with personnel, external suppliers, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders through regular and effective communication.
- Maintain a high level of communication with the lead metallurgist to completely understand and clarify the scope of work and project data interpretation. (i.e. Project kick-off meetings)
- Take personal ownership and accountability for all aspects of project data management, folder management, collation and manipulation throughout project delivery.
- Ensure Quality Control Systems are adhered to at all times.
To be successful you will have
- Degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar.
- Experience with some metallurgical commodities and unit operations.
- Strong written communication and verbal skills.
- Effective planning and time management skills.
- Effective project management skills.
- A degree of competency in Microsoft Office.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
- Some exposure to operational sites
