About the opportunity

Systems Engineering is about seeing the bigger picture.

You'll work with multidisciplinary team focused on sustaining and introducing new capabilities into service for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Systems supported include:

  • Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)
  • Ruggedised Portable Computing Systems
  • Weather Stations and Weather RADAR equipment
  • Hydrographic survey systems

  • What you'll do

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you'll contribute to activities such as

  • Working with customers and project teams to understand operational needs and technical requirements.
  • Supporting the design, integration and delivery of complex systems.
  • Opportunity to develop into an Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert.
  • Analysing problems and helping evaluate solution options.
  • Developing engineering documentation, models and technical artefacts.
  • Participating in system reviews, testing and verification activities.
  • Collaborating with software, hardware and project teams throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Applying systems engineering principles to deliver high-quality, secure and reliable outcomes.

About you

You're in your final year (or recently completed) a Bachelor's degree in

  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering

You don't need previous industry experience—we're looking for people with the curiosity and potential to grow.

Eligibility

To be considered, you must

  • Be an Australian Citizen.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
  • Be completing (or have recently completed) a relevant Bachelor's degree.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a national security clearance.
