Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a  Full-Time Occupational Therapist Assistant  to join our growing  Homecare team . If you’re passionate about helping patients regain independence in their homes, we want to hear from you!

South Shore, Nassau and Suffolk County | $47k | Homecare

What You’ll Do

  • Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
  • Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
  • Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.
  • Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.
  • Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
  • Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Jersey. 
  • Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of experience
  • Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.
  • Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.
  • Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the assigned geographic territory
  • Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $45,000-47,000. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
