Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and ascertain their shopping needs.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register or POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with accountability and precision.
• Provide information and answer queries regarding products, prices, and promotions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing checkout area.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of shifts and prepare accurate reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is an advantage.
• Ability to operate cashier registers and handle various forms of payment.
• Strong numerical and cash handling skills with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
