About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform stainless-steel fabrication and MIG/TIG welding on light-gauge stainless-steel components. You’ll work from mechanical drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and shop routings to produce high-quality parts that meet required specifications and tolerances.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays attention to detail, and works well in a team environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel.
  • Fabricate and assemble stainless-steel components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, weld symbols, and shop routings .
  • Produce sanitary welds that meet USDA requirements .
  • Set up and operate conventional fabrication and finishing equipment.
  • Grind, blend, blast, and polish welds using hand and power tools.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials.
  • Support various welding functions and work areas based on production needs.
  • Meet established quality, productivity, and workmanship standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating standards.
  • Participate in cross-training and support other areas of the department as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED or at least 2 years of experience in a similar welding/fabrication role .
  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding , preferably on thin-gauge stainless steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
  • Experience producing sanitary welds is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to work within established production standards.

Preferred: Associate degree or technical training in Welding Technology.
