Job Purpose
The Manager of Events and Community Engagement is responsible for implementing fundraising strategies and execution of Ronald McDonalds House Atlanta events, community fundraising initiatives, and corporate engagement activities. The primary focus of this role includes securing sponsorships, cultivating donors and driving event revenue. The role builds and stewards relationships with corporate partners and individual donors throughout the event cycle – from prospect to commitment to post-event stewardship. In addition to event fundraising and logistical support, this position supports community engagement initiatives and corporate volunteer experiences that deepen partner investment in the mission.
Essential Functions
Event Fundraising, Sponsorship, and Donor Engagement
- Support the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of event sponsors and donors to meet fundraising goals for Ronald McDonald House Atlanta events.
- Develop and present customized sponsorship packages that align with corporate partners’ CSR and community investment priorities.
- Manage sponsorship benefit fulfillment from commitment through post-event stewardship, ensuring every partner feels valued and recognized.
- Maintain active communication with event donors and sponsors throughout the event cycle, building relationships that extend beyond a single engagement.
- Track sponsorship pipeline, commitments, and revenue projections in Raiser’s Edge NXT, providing regular updates to the Senior Director Strategic Partnerships.
- Support the cultivation of new donor prospects through event-based touchpoints, moving relationships forward in partnership with the broader development team.
- Ensure a high-quality, mission-centered experience for all sponsors, donors, and guests that reflects the organization’s values and strengthens long-term giving.
Event Coordination & Logistics
- Support the planning and execution of Ronald McDonald House Atlanta fundraising events, including vendor management, timelines, and on-site coordination.
- Coordinate event committee communications and volunteer recruitment.
- Manage event-related data entry, tracking, and reporting in donor management systems.
Community Fundraising & Engagement
- Manage and grow community fundraising initiatives, including third-party events, peer-to-peer campaigns, and cause marketing activations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community groups, businesses, and individuals interested in hosting fundraising events on behalf of ARMHC.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community fundraising partners, providing timely stewardship and recognition.
- Track and report on community fundraising performance, identifying opportunities to grow revenue and participation.
Corporate Volunteer & Employee Engagement
- Coordinate corporate partner volunteer experiences, employee engagement activities, and mission immersion opportunities at the House.
- Support the development and delivery of engagement programs such as chef-led meals.
- Maintain scheduling, logistics, and follow-up communication for all corporate engagement activities.
Stewardship & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Raiser’s Edge NXT/Blackbaud for events, community fundraisers, and engagement activities.
- Prepare reports, acknowledgment letters, and recognition materials for event sponsors and community fundraising partners.
- Support the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships and development team with special projects as needed.
- Represent Ronald McDonald House Atlanta professionally at events, community meetings, and partner engagements.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, a Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or nonprofit development.
- Demonstrated ability to solicit and secure sponsorships or gifts and manage donor relationships.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management/CRM systems.
Preferred
- Prior experience working in corporate partnerships or development within a nonprofit environment.
- Knowledge of corporate social responsibility and marketing practices.
- Familiarity with RMHC or McDonald’s partnership initiatives.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Must maintain a regular presence at RMHA offices, special events, and partner meetings.
- Occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours required to support events and fundraising activities.
- Ability to travel locally to corporate partner sites, community meetings, and events.
- Ability to lift or transport materials and supplies up to 25 pounds.
