The registered dietitian has a solid foundation of education, credentialing, evidence-based practice, demonstrated competence, and adheres to established professional standards. Responsible for providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to acute care patients while upholding Providence's mission and core values.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics or related field preferred, And
  • Coursework/Training: ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.
  • Washington Dietitian Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire, Or
  • Washington Dietitian Temporary Practice Permit within 6 months (180 days) of hire, Or
  • Washington Nutritionist Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
  • National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics or related field.
  • 2 years professional experience in clinical nutrition in an acute care setting.
