POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Business Support leads the governance, administration, and operational support of critical business systems, master data, reporting, and business support services that enable Finance, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Business Services (EBS) operations. This role is responsible for overseeing financial and procurement system support, financial master data governance, government reporting, business controls, and access governance, ensuring the integrity, compliance, and effectiveness of key business processes and technologies. Partnering closely with Finance, Supply Chain, EBS Process Owners, and IT, the Director aligns business requirements, system capabilities, and operational priorities while ensuring consistent, efficient, and compliant execution of support services across the enterprise. As a member of the EBS leadership team, this leader drives operational excellence through strong stewardship of systems, data, controls, and stakeholder support, enabling reliable business execution and sustainable organizational performance.

Business Support Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the Business Support function, ensuring systems, data, reporting, and support services effectively enable Finance, Supply Chain, and EBS operations.
  • Establish governance, standards, and operating practices that support compliant, efficient, and scalable business operations.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Supply Chain, EBS Process Owners, and IT on business support priorities and capabilities.

Business Systems & Operational Support

  • Provide oversight of business-owned financial and procurement systems, including SAP S/4HANA and related applications.
  • Govern business system enhancements, access management, security roles, and application ownership responsibilities.
  • Accountable for effective delivery of day-to-day business process support and issue resolution across supported functions.

Master Data Governance

  • Lead enterprise governance and stewardship of financial master data.
  • Ensure data integrity, standardization, and alignment across systems, processes, and reporting structures.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and control framework for in-scope master data.

Government Reporting, Risk & Compliance

  • Oversee regulatory and government reporting activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.
  • Maintain governance over business controls, system access, segregation of duties, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, and IT to mitigate risks and address control gaps.

Stakeholder Partnership & Business Enablement

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams for business support services.
  • Provide expertise on business impacts, system capabilities, data governance, and operational requirements.
  • Drive alignment across functions to ensure business needs are effectively supported.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related discipline required.
  • Twelve (12) or more years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Technology, business systems/operations support or relevant experience required.
  • Five (5) or more years of directly managing professional staff required.
  • Proven experience supporting ERP systems, master data governance, business controls, or regulatory reporting highly preferred.
