Job Description
- Reviews, analyzes and evaluates credit applications, in accordance with policy and procedures, to authorize credit for customers, within designated discretionary lending limits.
- Collaborates with business partners by providing credit support / solutions / recommendations through the credit adjudication process.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
CUSTOMER
- Ensure all credit decisions (approval / decline) within assigned limits are fulfilled on certain credit products efficiently and effectively, meeting service level agreements (SLAs)
- Provide credit support / solutions / recommendations when evaluating / analyzing credit applications for decisions in accordance with bank policies and procedures
- Ensure customer concerns / issues are handled appropriately and resolved in a timely manner, escalate when required
- Positively contribute to the overall customer experience and foster good relationships with internal and external partners
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the customer experience within the Business Area
- Create and/or recognize exceptional customer service through established programs
SHAREHOLDER
- Prioritize and manage own daily workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
- Accurately decision credit deals within established standards and limits and adjudicate within compliance guidelines
- Contribute to the achievement of satisfactory audits by understanding & following audit and process guidelines
- Identify areas of risk and escalate as necessary
- Follow internal and industry regulations and operating policies when analyzing / completing credit decisions for business partners and customers
- Make well rationalized credit decisions that reflect business intentions and are consistent with relevant rules / regulations

- Understand and apply Bank credit policies and procedures
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency
- Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank Code of Conduct

BREADTH & DEPTH
- Works autonomously within established procedures focusing on performing credit underwriting /adjudication on a narrow range of simple credit products
- Provides authorization required for credit adjudication based on the Bank's Discretionary Lending limits criteria
- Sound knowledge on credit products, end-to-end credit processes and systems for own specialized area
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the operating environment, business process and procedures, and credit lifecycle for own area (e.g., processing environment, applications, software, hardware, products)
- Sound level knowledge with some form of related training and/or related experience or skills
- Ability to execute on routine requests
- Identifies key operational / reporting / process issues for own area
- Provides thorough analysis and/or specialized reporting or operational/process support
- Requires general understanding of the overall function and/or businesses supported
- Completes work within specifically defined parameters with guidance / direction from management as necessary
- Generally reports to Team Manager
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High School diploma / Undergraduate degree
- 1+ years relevant experience
