About The Role

Clean Harbors is looking for a Customer Service Representative to be based in our Sanford, NC location. The Customer Service Representative is responsible in supporting the technical services general manager(s), the service center(s), branch managers, account managers, and technical service specialists in servicing accounts, including ensuring the accuracy, tracking, and processing of all technical, billing, and administrative information, setting up new customers, closing accounts and ensuring the accuracy of customer information in company systems, and assuring the proper extension of credit to customers in concert with financial and collection personnel.

  • Take incoming customer calls related to service requests, issues, invoice questions, on-line service support amongst others, and ensure timely resolution; Turn customers over to (RSOM) wherever possible for proactive calling order placement; Ensure that proactive calls are made within the specified cycle times for any applicable accounts
  • Generate or assist with quotes to customers based on input received from the specialist and/or the account manager; Identify questionable quoted disposal, transportation, labor or material rates and present to the general manager before quote is released
  • Create sales orders for customer service requests
  • Provide service reports to customers upon request
  • Initiate job folder set up, including all applicable paperwork; Review IP workbench daily and resolve any outstanding items in a timely manner
  • orders prior to pick up and ensure profiles are properly priced via the quote or contract; Create appropriate job related purchase orders; Manage customer PO details per the company policy
  • Schedule transportation with the appropriate logistics office for disposal pickups
  • Review open sales orders and close where appropriate
  • Take calls from field techs to assist with account questions, placing service orders and working through service issues
  • Resolve all off-specs within prescribed time and communicate with sales, the customer, and the central billing function
  • Assure daily billing of the business with expectation that billing is accomplished each day, is consistent each week, and respond in a timely manner to all billing issues, questions, on unbilled reports; Complete and submit short pay and credit rebill requests
  • Complete new profiles, recertifications, and amendments and ensure that they are scanned as appropriate
  • Take the lead on setting up new customers that result from incoming service requests, and ensure customer information is accurately input into company system(s)
  • Work closely with collectors and regional finance manager to assure proper extension of credit to customers.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of DOT/RCRA regulations;
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications.
  • Knowledge of disposal technologies and waste class codes, and T+D and CleanPack service lines
