Job Description Summary

The AME Leader – Hub / Warehouse will lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities for hub, warehouse, and logistics-related operations within Wind Manufacturing. This role is responsible for developing and deploying scalable process, tooling, equipment, and material flow solutions that improve safety, efficiency, quality, and readiness across plants.

Job Description

This leader will drive AME strategy and execution for hub / warehouse / logistics operations, including process development, equipment implementation, standardization, and plant support. The role is accountable for enabling launch readiness, process capability, and productivity improvements through robust engineering solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • ● Lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities for hub, warehouse, and logistics-related operations.
  • ● Develop and define new processes, tooling, and equipment to support NTIs and product launches.
  • ● Lead health, automation, and technology projects related to hub / warehouse / logistics.
  • ● Standardize best-known methods and scalable solutions across plants.
  • ● Lead tooling and equipment specifications, sourcing support, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and implementation.
  • ● Improve material flow, handling, storage, ergonomics, and logistics efficiency.
  • ● Solve chronic technical and operational issues using structured problem solving.
  • ● Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve reliability and operational performance.
  • ● Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and EHS to improve launch readiness and plant execution.
  • ● Drive productivity, utilization, and cost-out through process and equipment optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • ● Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • ● Significant experience in manufacturing engineering, warehouse engineering, logistics operations, or industrialization.
  • ● Experience with process design, tooling/equipment implementation, and plant support.
  • ● Experience leading technical teams and cross-functional projects..
  • ● Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • ● Experience in wind turbine assembly or heavy industrial operations, material handling systems, warehouse operations, logistics flow, and internal transport optimization.
  • ● Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset.
  • ● Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, process capability, and validation methods.
  • ● Ability to influence across functions and standardize solutions across multiple sites.
  • ● Strong focus on execution and measurable business outcomes.

  • ● Scrap, rework, and escapement reduction
  • ● OTD and launch readiness
  • ● OEE and operational productivity improvement
  • ● Labor productivity and factory utilization
  • ● Manufacturing cost out

Preferred locations

● Primary location of Pensacola and will also consider Greenville, Schenectady, Salzbergen
