About The Role

The Safety & Security Specialist will join the EHS team and be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health & safety, fire safety (PSI), and security requirements across the manufacturing site. The role will support daily plant operations by maintaining a safe working environment, coordinating regulatory activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and company standards. The specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders, external authorities, and the global EHS team.

Role description

  • Ensure compliance with Romanian Health & Safety (SSM), Fire Safety (PSI), and Security legislation and internal company standards.
  • Coordinate daily Safety & Security activities across the manufacturing site.
  • Monitor the production area and identify potential safety and security risks across the entire facility.
  • Manage Fire Safety (PSI) documentation, permits, and ISU requirements, including updates related to new equipment and plant layout changes.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and SPSU compliance.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and support incident investigations.
  • Deliver Safety & Security training to employees and contractors.
  • Ensure implementation of Security measures, including access control, visitor management, and collaboration with external security providers.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and external authorities to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of all legal and internal EHS requirements.

Qualifications

•University degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Safety (SSM), Fire Safety (PSI), or EHS within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Fire Safety (PSI) certification.
  • Good knowledge of Romanian SSM and Fire Safety legislation.
  • Understanding of SPSU requirements and emergency preparedness obligations.
  • Experience managing safety activities in a large manufacturing site.
  • Intermediate English (minimum B1)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
