Associate Director, Convertible Bond Trading, Fixed Income

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Trader of APAC Convertible Desk to maintain a balance between revenue generation and increase trading turnover
• Analyze market drivers and cross-asset impacts to convertible bond market
• Execute trades for risk management of trading book
• Perform credit analysis of convertible bond names for requesting risk limits.
• Manage day-to-day client requests and needs
• Attend client meetings with other front office functions such as Sales and Equity Capital Markets
• Liaise with supporting departments of the trading business, including but not limited to Business Development, Operations, Product Control, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Legal and Compliance

Requirements

• Master’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in credit research, credit analysis, convertible bonds analysis, investment research, or other related financial markets functions.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis. Ideally have a background of credit research or experience in rating agencies.
• Knowledge in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for routine task automation would be a plus.
• Strong understanding of convertible bonds basics and APAC convertible bond market.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Qualified for the application of Hong Kong SFC Type 1, Type 2 and Type 4 licences.
