Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Operational Excellence: Plan project activities, allocate resources, and ensure all site documentation and technical procedures are current and accessible.
- Safety Leadership: Champion EHS guidelines and conduct risk assessments. You hold the authority to pause or stop work if safety or quality standards are compromised.
- Technical Oversight: Perform in-process rewind tests (e.g., high potential, surge, stator core loop, insulation resistance) and conduct fault investigations.
- Client & Team Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and subcontractors. Provide on-the-job training, manage team performance, and foster a culture of safety and discipline.
- Business Support: Participate in pre-bid job walks, assist in developing cost estimates for proposals, and track project risks to minimize additional expenditures.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of prior hydroelectric generator experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the theory and application of repair/replacement practices for mechanical equipment and heavy industrial machinery used in hydroelectric facilities.
- Facility Knowledge: Familiarity with the principles and practices of maintaining multi-purpose hydroelectric generating facilities, including dams, powerhouses, and gate/valve houses.
- Safety/Operations: Knowledge of safe operation practices for heavy construction equipment.
- Software Skills: Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Precision: Proven ability to perform skilled duties such as shaft line alignment, bearing settings, and the use of mechanical precision tools/on-site machining tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capability and the ability to read and interpret complex manuals, drawings, and project specifications.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and empower diverse site teams.
Eligibility Requirements
- Travel: Ability to travel frequently to job sites throughout the United States. Assignments can range from a few days to several months.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to different weather conditions.
- Work Style: Ability to work from home between site assignments to prepare offers, cost estimates, and mobilization plans.
- Authorization: Must be able to satisfy all requirements to work on-site at various customer facilities.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $87,000.00 and $145,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
