FlexStaff is seeking a Medical Coding Operations Manager to spearhead the efficiency and effectiveness of our Coding & Medical Practice operations for a dedicated PACE organization. This isn't just a management role; it's a chance to be a catalyst for excellence, ensuring our frail and elderly participants receive the highest standard of coordinated care.
Responsibilities
As our Medical Coding Operations Manager, you will be the operational backbone of our medical practice, ensuring seamless workflows and impeccable compliance. You'll:
- Lead with Vision: Supervise, evaluate, and continuously refine our Coding & Medical Practice operations, driving efficiency and best practices.
- Champion Compliance: Collaborate closely with DTC Physicians to rigorously review and enforce medical policies and procedures, ensuring consistent adherence.
- Empower Your Team: Provide day-to-day supervision and mentorship to our dedicated Medical Practice Staff, fostering a high-performance and supportive environment.
- Optimize Workflows: Oversee critical tracking processes for orders, notes, and medical records, ensuring timely signatures, follow-ups, and documentation.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Manage the meticulous scanning and uploading of all paper documents into our EMR system.
- Facilitate Coordinated Care: Guarantee that all participant medical appointments are scheduled and aligned with care plans and provider orders.
- Be a Key Liaison: Act as the vital link between Medical Coding/Practice operations and our clinical physicians/staff, promoting seamless communication.
- Train & Audit for Excellence: Conduct chart audits and provide essential training to ensure accurate documentation and diagnostic coding.
- Administrative Mastermind: Oversee diverse administrative duties including invoices, staff reimbursements, payroll coordination, site equipment maintenance, and Health Commerce System (HCS) management.
- Site Steward: Handle critical site responsibilities such as weekly vehicle checks, site directory updates, and fire drills, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Integral Team Member: Serve as an active participant in our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), contributing to holistic participant care planning.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- At least five (5+) years of progressive experience in a Coding or Medical Practice office-related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role (preferred, but strong leadership skills are key!).
- At least one (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, or a strong commitment to receive specialized training upon hire.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field, OR a Medical Practice related Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., CPC, CPMA, CPPM, CRC).
- Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and computer skills (typing, EMR proficiency).
- Compliance: Must be legally authorized to practice, medically cleared, and up to date on immunizations.
- Flexibility: Available to consistently travel around all PACE sites on a regular basis.
- Language: Bilingual skills are a plus!
