What You Will Do

Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team. This position is responsible for providing technical support for Engineering in Product Design and Development and transfer of products to Production. Duties include creating components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, product design and process development documentation, drawings, labels, and ERP data entry. This role may support engineering prototype or qualification builds, performing and documenting product evaluations and testing, and participating in design control activities. Works under general supervision of Director of Engineering or Lead Engineer on multiple assignments of small to moderate scope and complexity.

  • Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
  • Assists in the product design by developing CAD models of components or assemblies, creating drawings in a document control environment under the guidance of Engineering.
  • Assists in the development of assembly processes and procedures including initial Manufacturing Assembly Instructions, Routers, Process Maps and BOMs.
  • Supports engineering prototype/qualification builds, performing and documenting product evaluations and testing, and participating in design control activities
  • Creates and updates component, product and process documentation, and labels including change orders.
  • Updates ERP system with product information and processes change orders
  • Participates on various project teams and in team meetings as required.
  • Designs, develops and qualifies fixtures and tooling for production assembly and test processes.
  • Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.

What You Bring

Core Qualifications

  • Education: Associate Degree (AS) or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience. Or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a Technician position.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks (required)
  • Strong Technical Writing skills
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) (required)
  • Experience with Drafting standards and/or GD&T Tolerancing (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment. (preferred)
  • Experience in a regulated environment such as ISO and FDA QSR. (preferred)
  • Metrology experience (preferred)
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
