About The Role

Purpose

This position is responsible for Oceaneering's global cash management, liquidity optimization, in-house banking, and cross-border cash mobilization. The role oversees:

  • Daily cash management activities performed by the Treasury teams in Houston, Texas and Chandigarh, India.
  • Documentation and settlement of intercompany balances between Oceaneering Business Units.
  • Documentation necessary in relevant African countries to comply with the respective exchange controls facilitating the transfer of cash out of each of the African countries.
  • Foreign currency exposure analysis, FX trades, and related cash settlement.

Given Oceaneering's significant global operating footprint, the Global Cash Manager partners closely with regional finance teams, tax, legal, accounting, and external banking partners to efficiently mobilize cash across jurisdictions, reduce trapped cash, and support enterprise capital allocation priorities.

Location

  • Role provides the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, working both virtually and in the Houston office when required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Functions

ESSENTIAL

  • Build and lead the global cash management function, including defining its operating model, governance structure, roles and responsibilities, service-delivery standards, and multi-year roadmap aligned with Treasury and enterprise objectives.
  • Develop and implement scalable global cash management capabilities, processes, and technology, moving activities from decentralized or manual execution toward standardized reporting, centralized oversight, automation, and measurable performance management.
  • Determine and manage daily U.S. domestic and international cash positions, including restricted, trapped, and deployable cash balances across all regions.
  • Develop and maintain global liquidity reporting and cash forecasting processes and variance analysis to improve visibility into current and projected cash availability.
  • Lead global liquidity optimization initiatives, including cash concentration, working capital-driven liquidity improvements, trapped cash reduction, and deployment of excess cash across the enterprise.
  • Establish and monitor global liquidity KPIs, including accessible cash, trapped cash, forecast accuracy, repatriation cycle times, and cash utilization metrics.
  • Lead cash repatriation initiatives covering settlement of intercompany trade balances and intercompany loans, payment of dividends, and other permissible cross-border funding structures.
  • Coordinate with tax, legal, accounting, and regional finance teams to identify tax and regulatory considerations affecting cash movement.
  • Manage and enhance in-house banking capabilities, including intercompany funding, netting, internal settlements, cash pooling concepts, centralized payments, and intercompany loan administration.
  • Administer the global intercompany loan portfolio, including funding requests, interest calculations, settlements, documentation support, and compliance with internal policy requirements.
  • Ensure wire transfers, intercompany settlements, disbursements, and foreign currency transactions are executed in accordance with treasury policy and approved controls.
  • Support foreign exchange activities, including execution, settlement, documentation, issue resolution, and analysis of currency exposures impacting cash mobilization.
  • Monitor central bank exchange controls, dividend restrictions, sanctions considerations, local banking requirements, and other rules governing cash transactions in international jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, treasury policies, banking mandates, AML/KYC requirements, sanctions screening standards, and applicable laws governing treasury operations.
  • Manage third-party debt service payments and support capital markets, credit facility, and corporate finance transactions as needed
  • Support global treasury transformation initiatives, including process centralization, treasury technology improvements, bank rationalization, and liquidity structure optimization.
  • Develop strategies to minimize foreign exchange losses associated with cash repatriation, intercompany funding, and local currency holdings.
  • Monitor emerging market currency risks and recommend actions to protect liquidity and enterprise value.

OTHER

  • Provide treasury support for acquisitions, divestitures, legal entity changes, new country entry, and special projects.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and ad-hoc analyses related to global liquidity, trapped cash, repatriation opportunities, and banking risks.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position may directly or indirectly supervise treasury analysts, contractors, or regional cash management resources depending on organizational structure and project requirements.

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to Treasurer.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or corporate finance within a multinational organization.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting operations in Africa.
  • Minimum 1-2 years in Latin America, Middle East, Europe, and Asia-Pacific markets is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing domestic and international liquidity, bank relationships, cash positioning, and cross-border funding activities.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with cash repatriation, intercompany loans, dividends, foreign exchange controls, and banking requirements in complex jurisdictions.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with treasury workstations, online banking platforms, FX execution/settlement tools, financial systems, Bloomberg FX, and bank fee analysis tools.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

DESIRED

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • Experience with in-house banking, cash pooling, payment factories, netting, SWIFT connectivity, and treasury centralization initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of global liquidity management, international banking, foreign exchange settlement, and intercompany financing structures.
  • Deep working knowledge of cash repatriation mechanisms, including documentation, approvals, regulatory constraints, tax considerations, and operational execution requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in challenging banking environments and jurisdictions with currency controls, limited convertibility, or heightened regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex treasury issues into clear recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills and a proactive approach to driving cross-functional initiatives to completion.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with tax, legal, accounting, operations, regional finance teams, banks, auditors, and senior leadership.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers, external banks, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, interpret regulations, and draw valid conclusions.
  • High attention to detail with a strong control mindset and commitment to compliance, confidentiality, and operational excellence.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place.
  • Work surface is stable (flat).
  • May require periodic availability outside normal business hours to support global time zones, urgent payment activity, or cross-border funding requirements.
