About The Role

The CTS Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safe operating condition of our Contract Transportation Systems (CTS) trailer fleet.

Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm

This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.

  • Ensuring trailer repairs and tire work are being performed safely and completed on time daily
  • Participate in monthly safety training updates in order to support continuous improvement in Safety
  • Maintaining the highest level of safety in relation to the job duties performed within the CTS department and Operations

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, order picker equipment, high lift equipment, and an industrial battery charger

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an Associate's degree or higher in automotive truck technology
  • Have at least two (2) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Have an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license
  • Have at least one (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts
  • Have formal training or at least one (1) year of work experience implementing Programmable Logic Controls ("PLC")
