About The Role
Job Overview
The Thru Tubing Applications Engineer is responsible for driving the growth, promotion, and technical application of Weatherford’s Thru Tubing product line, including Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention solutions.
The role combines strong technical expertise with commercial and customer-facing responsibilities. The Applications Engineer provides technical support throughout the sales and service process, develops job designs and operational programs, prepares technical and commercial proposals, supports field operations, and identifies new business opportunities.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, and customers, the role is responsible for developing technically sound solutions aligned with customer objectives while supporting revenue growth, market share expansion, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
The position also plays an important role in mentoring field personnel, promoting Weatherford technologies, analyzing market opportunities, and ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and application support for Thru Tubing Fishing, Milling, Packers, and Well Intervention products and services.
- Develop job designs, technical recommendations, and operational programs to meet customer requirements safely and efficiently.
- Support job planning, execution, troubleshooting, and service quality in collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Product Line Management.
- Act as a key technical interface with customers, understanding their requirements and developing effective Weatherford solutions.
- Support sales and business development through technical proposals, tenders, quotations, customer presentations, and opportunity development.
- Promote Weatherford Thru Tubing technologies and services to support revenue growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities and provide market intelligence on customer requirements, projects, competitors, and market trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports, job documentation, presentations, application guidelines, and training materials.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to field personnel and junior team members, supporting competency and knowledge development.
- Collaborate across Sales, Operations, Product Line Management, Quality, and HSE to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain high standards of QHSE, ensuring compliance with Weatherford policies, customer requirements, applicable regulations, and the Company’s Rules to Live By.
- Demonstrate safety leadership, proactively identify risks, and stop operations when there is an immediate risk to personnel, the environment, equipment, or service quality.
- Maintain continuous technical and professional development and complete all required functional, compliance, and business training.
- Support continuous improvement, business strategy implementation, performance reviews, and Product Line initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong technical understanding of Thru Tubing applications and operations.
- Ability to provide technical and commercial support to customers and internal teams.
- Experience in Thru Tubing, Coiled Tubing, and/or Snubbing operations.
- Exposure to Well Intervention products, services, and applications.
- Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, job design, or technical support within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong customer knowledge and understanding of different organizational levels.
