About The Role

About Ajaia

Ajaia is an AI implementation consultancy and product studio. We help organizations move from AI experimentation to measurable return on investment across four practices: AI Strategy and Advisory, Workforce Training and Enablement, Process Optimization, and Custom AI Development. Our work sits with executives and the people who do the actual work, and it is judged on whether something changed in production, not on whether a pilot looked good in a deck.

Position Overview

Ajaia is hiring a Head of Marketing: a creative strategist who has personally built and grown an audience before and can do it again for Ajaia. You will set positioning and content strategy for the Ajaia brand and product suite, launch Ajaia's podcast from scratch, and lead the social presence that makes people stop and pay attention. You will write, or edit into shape, most of what goes out under our name, and you will report directly to the founders.

This seat is judged on the work and the audience it builds, not on the org chart underneath it. The team is small on purpose.

Compensation: $140,000 to $200,000 base, plus a performance bonus of up to 100% of base salary.

We are looking for someone who has grown a channel, a publication, a newsletter, a show, or a following, personally, and can point to what it is and how they did it. You should write extremely well and have real editorial judgment. You should be comfortable being questioned by founders in real time.

How we expect you to work

AI use is a core execution requirement at Ajaia, not optional tooling. You will use it daily to draft, edit, and produce content quickly, and you will be judged on what you keep, not on how much you generate. This is a creative seat first, and we want someone who uses AI to make excellent work, not slop.

The frontier moves quickly, and staying current on it is part of the job. You are the person who tells the founders which new capability is worth a bet and which one is noise.

What you will do

  • Set positioning for Ajaia and the product suite, and hold it across everything published under our name.
  • Launch Ajaia's podcast from scratch: find the format, book the first guests, and get the first episodes out.
  • Write and personally produce the content that carries the most weight: the pieces, posts, and scripts that need a real point of view, not a template.
  • Decide the two or three channels worth betting on this quarter, and say plainly what to stop doing to fund them.
  • Build the AI-assisted workflows that let a small operation publish like a much larger one.
  • Commit to one pipeline number each quarter, name the baseline you need before you commit to it, and report against it honestly.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team and offshore partners so the calendar and the channel bets hold together.
  • Report to the founders on what is working and what you are doing about what is not.
  • A strong writer with real editorial taste.
  • Experience building or growing an audience, publication, or channel.
  • A clear point of view on AI, comfortable publishing it under your own name.
  • AI fluent: you use AI daily to draft, edit, and produce content, and you can tell good output from slop.
  • Comfortable setting brand positioning and defending it under real-time questioning.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to work on-site in New York.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred and is not a requirement.

Nice to have

  • Experience launching a podcast, newsletter, or show from scratch.
  • A personal following or publication of meaningful size.
  • Experience marketing to enterprise or B2B buyers.
  • A mix of agency and in-house experience

Competitive benefits.
