This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry around the world! As a Lead Platform Engineer, Property Technology, you will bring your blend of technical skills and product passion to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Software Engineering Property Platform team, reporting to the Director Software Engineering, you will lead the delivery of enterprise programs and platform enhancements for Prodigy, a cohesive in-house commercial services web application. Prodigy supports both above-property corporate teams and on-property hotel team members.
What you'll do during a typical day
- Create technical requirements to deliver new features and capabilities that support enterprise capabilities and platform enhancements
- Break-down complex workflows into unified application experiences
- Transform solution and network diagrams, swagger definitions, and REST API integrations into clear requirements and business process flows that bring capabilities to life
- Collaborate daily with Business Product Owners, UI Engineers, and Designers in an agile environment to challenge current processes and deliver features and requirements
- Lead other Business Analysts by encouraging a culture of ideation, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centric decision-making
- Manage the refinement backlog through weekly refinement and sprint planning, ensuring the platform team advances 40–50% of sprint velocity, approximately 70–80 tickets or 180 story points, into refinement each week
How you'll collaborate with others
- Connect Hilton's business, technology, and core architecture teams to understand and detail the technology needs and transform requirements into deliverable solutions
- Partner with business product owners, UI/UX designers, development, and testing teams to deliver new functionality and enterprise capabilities
- Navigate a fast-paced agile environment by clarifying ambiguity, developing solutions, and removing roadblocks to keep work moving forward
Deliverables you'll take ownership of
- Monitor progress against weekly/monthly roadmap and identify potential risks and blockers for scheduled programs
- Prioritize requirements in refinement backlog
- Deliver monthly artifacts such as release notes and product reviews to business and technical teams
What It Takes to Make the Stay
You have these minimum qualifications
- Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology and Product, or related field
- Three (3) years of experience working in product space delivering detailed requirements to UX designers and front-end UI engineers
- Proficiency with Jira in managing user stories and detailed technical UI requirements
- Understanding of existing software delivery life cycle and how to use AI tooling to modernize the cycle
- Experience working with rest APIs integrations and proficiency understanding swagger file definitions (YAML/JSON)
- This is a hybrid in-office role and requires new team members to be near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)
- Travel up to 10%
It would be useful if you have
- Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology/Product related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology/Product related experience
- Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
- Five (5) years of experience working in product space delivering detailed requirements to UX designers and front-end UI engineers
- Two (2) years of work experience managing team members
- Two (2) years of experience with Figma and other design systems

Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package to support their mental and physical well-being, so they can Thrive personally and professionally. The pay range for this role is $100,000 – $145,000 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
