Your Role at KIK

We are seeking a Warehouse Lead on 2nd shift (8:00pm-4:40am, Monday-Thursday with weekends per business need), where you will play a key role in keeping our warehouse and manufacturing operations moving safely and efficiently. In this hands-on leadership role, you will coordinate daily warehouse activities, provide direction and training to team members, and help ensure materials and finished goods are in the right place at the right time. Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, Production, and other departments, you will help drive inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, safe material handling, and continuous improvement. You will also serve as a go-to resource on the warehouse floor, helping resolve day-to-day issues and keeping the team aligned with operational priorities. This position has an hourly rate of $27.00 plus a $1.00 shift differential.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, material staging, picking, loading, shipping, and material movement
  • Assign work and help establish shift priorities based on production schedules, shipping requirements, and operational needs
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and on-the-job training to warehouse team members, including material handlers and forklift operators
  • Serve as a first point of contact on the warehouse floor, helping resolve operational issues and escalating safety, quality, performance, or staffing concerns when needed
  • Coordinate the flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support production and minimize downtime
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, location audits, material verification, and timely system transactions; assist with monthly and annual physical inventories
  • Follow and reinforce FIFO requirements and established inventory-control processes
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, trailer placement, transshipment activity, and local shipping schedules
  • Verify shipments for product, quantity, labeling, and documentation accuracy and help investigate inventory or shipping discrepancies
  • Prepare and maintain required warehouse and shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), pick tickets, work orders, ship confirmations, and operational records
  • Utilize JD Edwards (E1), RF scanners, and other warehouse systems to accurately process inventory movements, receipts, shipments, and related transactions
  • Partner with Production and other departments to anticipate material needs and maintain continuous production and palletizer operations
  • Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing company safety policies, GMPs, LOTO requirements, proper material-handling practices, and PPE requirements
  • Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, stretch wrappers, palletizers, and other warehouse equipment are used safely and properly; promptly report equipment or maintenance concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse by supporting 5S and housekeeping standards
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, participating in problem-solving, and helping implement process improvements
  • Ensure effective shift-to-shift communication regarding priorities, inventory movements, open issues, and outstanding work

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 or more years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or material-handling experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Previous experience serving as a team lead, lead hand, trainer, key operator, or other informal/formal leadership role preferred
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and material movement
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment; forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification as required
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management or ERP systems and RF scanning technology; JD Edwards (JDE) experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, pick tickets, and shipping/receiving records
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear direction, train others, and work effectively across departments
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as business needs require

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly stand and walk throughout the shift and frequently bend, reach, twist, stoop, kneel, or crouch while performing warehouse activities
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to safely operate or work around forklifts, pallet jacks, warehouse racking, trailers, and other material-handling equipment
  • Ability to work in an industrial warehouse/manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, forklift traffic, and required PPE
