About The Role

The Operations Support Shipping Technician is responsible for inspecting, preparing, handling, and loading product for shipment while supporting daily operations and maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role requires the ability to support shipping activities, and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Inspect and seal barrels to ensure product quality and shipment readiness
Inspect equipment using established checklists and report deficiencies
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move product safely
Prepare barrels for shipment, including conveyor operations and product sampling
Load, unload, and move materials as required
Participate in daily safety and quality meetings
Report all incidents, hazards, near misses, and safety concerns immediately
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including removing debris, cleaning spills, drains, and break areas
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Support cross-training initiatives and perform assigned duties in multiple operational areas
Verify product integrity and communicate concerns regarding product quality, shortages, or equipment issues
Work effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals
Perform additional duties as assigned and trained

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Ability to understand and respond appropriately to emergency procedures
Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively within a team environment
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attendance

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience operating a forklift
Experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations
Previous experience working in a safety-sensitive industrial environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and climb ladders and stairs
Ability to work on uneven or moving surfaces
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
Ability to meet medical requirements for respiratory protective equipment use
Ability to maintain close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception as required for safe job performance

Working Conditions

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments
Must be able to work in varying weather conditions throughout the year
May be required to work overtime, weekends, and extended shifts as business needs dictate
Must be able to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
Position is subject to pre-employment background screening and drug testing
