SUMMARY
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Screw Pile Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating various pieces of equipment for the installation of screw piles. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.
Anticipated Start Date: September 4, 2026
Location: Fort McMurray
- Shift: 24/4 or determined by project scope
- Accommodation: Camp available
- Hourly Rate: Determined based on experience
JOB DUTIES
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Demonstrate safe operating procedures
- Participate in the daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment (greasing, visual inspections of all hydraulic components, shoveling tracks, etc.)
- Load/unload materials
- Load/unload pipe
- Utilize all attachments (Grapple, Pallet Forks, Jib, Bucket)
- Complete pre-job equipment inspections
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be in possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Must have experience operating John Deere Excavators & Link-Belt Excavators with Helical/Screw Piling Drive heads for efficient and safe helical pile installation
- Must have experience operating a wheel loader, skid steer, and pipe grapple
- Must have experience towing trailers
- Experience operating an excavator for earthwork projects is considered an asset
- Can quickly and accurately read and communicate specifications from detailed plans and drawings
- CSO
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
- Must be physically able to lift 50lb
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Organized and self-motivated
